META- Installazione di Domenico Franchi
Creata per Cronico - Spazi interattivi
II Biennale d’arte Contemporanea
Stalla di Villa Bernardelli a Gardone Valtrompia, Brescia
23 dicembre1998 – 6 gennaio 1999

II Biennial of Contemporary Art
Stalla Villa Bernardelli in Gardone Valtrompia, Brescia
December 23, 1998 - January 6, 1999
Meta- in many compound words means change, transformation, transposition, transfer or succession, afterwardness or beyond, transcending.
The subject of the installation was inspired by the place where it was built: an ancient eighteenth century stable with four mangers carved into the stone.
It is a reflection of body-mind-spirit condition. Feed (the mangers) to create ideas (the stems panels). Feeding the body, mind and soul. Basically, in this universe, to create something you have to destroy something else. This installation tries to balance these two opposites.
